Even on dreary days, we can look around us and be joyful for what the Lord has done for us. During Advent, maybe we can try harder to help those going dreary times. Carry some bottled water in the car to hand to a homeless person, even a can of beans with a flip-top lid and a plastic spoon. Throw the old coat that you love in the trunk and hand it out to the person looking cold in front of the grocery store. It is sentimental to you, but it will bring warmth to someone else. Grab an extra neckscarf and hat to go with the coat you are giving out. Throw a suprise into the pockets, so when the the hands are dug into them to get warm, a few dollar bills will be found. All of this will have the Lord rejoice, as the man he has made is taking care of one another!
